These vanilla pods come from the vanilla orchid – a climbing plant of the orchid family.
Madagascar vanilla has a particularly high vanillin content (2.9%), which gives it a strong vanilla and cocoa aroma.

The whole secret of this vanilla – well-enriched soil, a late harvest and a long curing process that lets its rich vanilla aroma fully develop.
